A bit about me…
A bit about me, and why I do what I do
I grew up in Sheffield before doing a degree and post graduate teaching qualification in Leeds. There I met Dirk, the love of my life, and we married in 1994. Having lived in Germany, Hertfordshire, the USA and Cambridgeshire, we now find ourselves settled back in Sheffield and are blessed with three wonderful daughters; being their mum makes me incredibly proud!
I had my own colours done when our youngest was a baby and was so inspired and enlightened that I decided I wanted to train as a consultant myself.
That was the start of my journey. Having joined the True Colours team in 2008 after being trained by Jane Fardon and Jane Chapman (both Masters of the Federation of Image Consultants), I now have many years of experience under my belt and have learned much from working alongside these (and several other) inspiring women along the way. I became the owner of True Colours in early 2022 and am excited for the future and grateful for the many people who have invested time and kindness in me - if you had asked me five years ago I never would have expected to be running my own business!
I absolutely love what I do and get a huge buzz out of helping people recognise their own beauty. I believe everyone is special and unique, and it feels like a real privilege to be able to affirm that in the people I meet.
When I am not working I love to be in my garden, or out walking in the hills enjoying the awesomeness of creation.
